The short version

Zella is a local-only macOS app. Your recordings, edits, captions, and exports are processed on your device. We do not upload your media, and there is no account required to use the app.

What the app collects

Nothing about your media. Recording, AI cleanup, captions, color, and export all run on-device. No footage, audio, or transcripts are sent to us or any third party.

What this website collects

This marketing site uses a lightweight, cookie-free analytics system to understand which pages and features people find useful. It records:

• The page path you visited and the referring URL
• Your browser user-agent
• Anonymous click events (e.g. which download button was pressed)

It does not set advertising cookies, build a cross-site profile, or sell data. A per-tab session identifier is stored in your browser’s sessionStorage and is cleared when you close the tab.

Newsletter and contact

If you submit the newsletter or contact form, we use the email address you provide to reply or send the updates you asked for. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Payments

Purchases are handled by our payment processor. We never see or store your full card details.

Your choices

You can browse the site without submitting any personal information. To request deletion of any data tied to an email you’ve given us, contact privacy@zellahq.com.
