Travel content has a technical constraint nobody mentions: the connection. Cloud editors and upload-based AI tools assume broadband, and a guesthouse in the mountains does not have it. The footage stacks up, gets edited two months later at home, and posts about a trip that ended.

That is the case this is built for. Everything except Auto B-Roll runs offline. The one thing to do while you still have wifi is let the first caption run download its one-time speech model, which is about 145 MB and only happens once.
My phone storage is already full of footage.
Editing locally does use disk, and that is a real cost of the approach. What you get back is that nothing waits on an upload, and a project moves to a Mac later as a .zella file carrying the whole timeline.
Will phone editing be good enough?
For vertical social, generally yes - the iPhone app has the full editor, not a cut-down one. Where it stops is 8K, which is Mac only, and long-form colour work with the depth toolset, which is more comfortable with a keyboard.
